Lol I know. Was walking back to get in car and snapped it real quick with no intentions of using it... figured why not for just a good "wheel picture"

I wonder if anyone sees a similarity…

Enkei RPF1

Formula 1 tires have a specified size range; the maximum is 355/380-13”, and the tire is $650. The cost per wheel is $1300 (the same price for an entire set of Enkei Racing wheels).

Enkei wheels come in optimum sizes and offsets for the 350z, and the price is very reasonable. After seeing these wheels on terrasmak’s car, I don’t worry about quality.

Back on RPF1s.

IIRC Enkei Racing Series wheels like the RPF1 were derived from their racing sports division.

Anyone mount this Enkei Tuning Series wheel?

I’m considering this for my redline 350z. I think the black spokes with a polished rim works well with redline. The wheel is available in 18” and a good offset (15mm), but the maximum width is 9.5” (but this still OK with 275mm width tire).

If I don’t do this wheel, my preferred choice for the redline is the silver Enkei RPF1 9.5x18/10.5x18 in 15mm offset.

I guess there is no bad choice here. In addition to esthetic preference, there is a difference in scaleable features (i.e., the RPF1 supports wider tires and it is a lighter wheel).

Correctamundo!

Also, consumer grade RPF1's are still used for professional races. Like Formula D.

It just goes to show how differently we perceive appearances.

I’ve never been a fan of gunmetal with redline cars (it looks dingy to me), but instead I prefer black spokes with a polished rim or silver with a red car.

Ya i didn't know about them at first when I put them on but I wanted to try something different. To be honest I like the way it turned out.

I took a second look, and now I also think that color combo works well.

What width and offset did you go with?

18x9.5 and 18x10.5 and a +15 offset. The tires are 255/35 front and 285/35 rear.

^^ Thanks for posting the additional info. That is a great setup. Your specs are the same I plan to do for my 350z if I go with the RPF1. --Spike

I don't understand why people would run such a short tire and increase understeer of their car?

I was referencing the wheels (the size and the offset), not tire sizes.

I agree:

I think the idea is better acceleration. --Spike

Posted these elsewhere on the forum, but figured they also belonged here.
18x10.5 +15 red with 285/35/18
18x9.5 +15 front with 265/35/18
