I have a 2004.5 roadster with v1 OEM Touring rims (specs)

Front
Size: 18x8.0
Offset: +30mm
Weight: 26.56lbs
Tire: 225/45-18
Rear
Size: 18x8.0
Offset: +30mm
Weight: 26.56lbs
Tire: 245/45-18



I thought about adding spacers but I'm also planning on getting 06+ OEM wheels sooner or later.

Here's the V2 Touring specs:

Front
Size: 18x8.0
Offset: +30mm
Weight: 24.4
Tire: 225/45/18
Rear
Size: 18x8.5
Offset: +33mm
Weight: 25.8
Tire: 245/45/18




I see that installing +20mm in the front & +25mm in the rear are popular with the 06+ OEM wheels as they sit flush with the fender. Will those sizes work for both applications(v1&2) or do I need to buy different sized spacers for the v1 Touring wheels until I get the v2 Touring wheels?
What sizes can you recommend for the v1 Touring wheels if 20mm front/25mm rear combo doesn't work?

Last question, where is a good place to buy spacers? I dont wanna buy cheap crap that will crack & rust right away...

waste of money to put spacers on a OEM wheel set-up (or any other wheel that fits properly) since it does nothing at all except stick them out a bit further and increases the amount of rocks and debris that hit the sides/rear of the car but hey, it's your car. do what you want.

 

If you want to move your wheels do it. Worry about your next wheels when you have your next wheels.

 

Ichiban V2 Spacers, I installed mine a few months ago and have had 0 problems and they are very easy to install. I put 25mm all around for the 17" OEMs, you should be fine with the 20/25mm for the 18"s.
If you want to check for yourself how the wheels will fit, take a ruler and measure the distance from the outside of your tire to where the fender is, 25mm is ~1inch (if using a standard ruler).
