Tried that, didn't work for me in my climate. It did make it better but on cold starts it will still squeal. This might be more for the cooler temps (not Texas, Flordia, etc)?
Thanks for the imput in either case. This is the easiest solution I can think of. I haven't seen anything easier that works this well.

I drove my vortech year round for 2 years. It was well below 0* F here in indiana in the winter.
I only had startup squeal the first time I installed it then I realized you have to tighten the belt VERY tight. If you are still getting start up squeal then it's not tight enough. I just kept tightening until it went away.

currently doing a vortech v2 build on my '06 rev-up. have a question about my aem wideband gauge that i'm about to install. can i use the aem supplied sensor to replace a factory sensor, or must i have another bung welded in? the only thing i'm using this is for the gauge in the car. not for tuning. will be tuning with osiris.

My car is currently at the shop and I was informed that the 2.62 pulley I ordered from 928 Motorsports "bottoms out" & "lacks depth". I have no idea what the means, can someone provide with knowledge of this situation.

Yes, you will definitely have to machine that pulley....I had to machine my 2.75 pulley from 928 to get it to fit...
Look at my last post.
Do you see the 928 pulley is Flat on the sides, and the Vortech is recessed. This is where the pulley is rubbing the front of the JackShaft Housing. The pulley needs to be recessed for clearance.

Will be installing a V2 SI sometime in the coming months. Still need a clutch, radiator and I would like to get an oil cooler which brings me to a question. Where is the best place, referring to flow, to place that guy? I was thinking inline with the blower supply but I would not want to restrict flow to the blower. Inline with the return from the blower obviously isn't good as any flow restriction after the "work" isn't ideal. Only other option is a completely seperate circuit but that raises efficiency concerns in my mind. Thoughts? Thanks.

sandwich plates have 1/8 NPT taps that you use, or else you T off the oil pressure sender in the upper pan.

Yea you are totally missing the question. I know what a sandwich plate is and how blower is typically supplied. Question was, would it work to put the cooler inline with that supply, or would that create too much resistance?
