Glad to hear you are relatively OK. Also, no other people / cars involved. That's a major plus considering the alternative and will at least cut you some slack when it comes to insurance

I absolutely feel for his family. I'm sure they feel horrible that they didn't teach their son to value his life more. I wish all parents would force their kids to go to serious driving schools that teach responsible driving and show how to control the cars at the limits. There are numberous high-performance driving and defensive driving schools all over the country, so there's really no excuse for not making your kids attend (for that matter, themselves as well).

Glad to hear you survived. At least you were in a solid car. It could be worse if you were in other 2-seater like Miata or Del Sol

To SPF4000 you must be really wise to tell other people their faults. I do know how to drive and have been to racing schools before. My accident is because the tires I ordered weren't in stock. Guess that is my fault too. As for the actual accident I wasn't speeding or doing anything stupid; I wish I had been cause then I could just say I F&*$ed up! Thats not the case, so keep your wisdom to yourself on my post! I was at the Grand Prix for long beach and I watched 6 PRO DRIVERS CRASH, maybe you could tell me what they did wrong too so none of us have that problem. Thanks DI#K!

Isn't it still your fault? If you knew your tires were bald, shouldn't you have been more careful driving on the wet road? Is it the tire store's fault for not having the tires in stock, or is it your fault for not being careful? You say you weren't speeding, but you still managed to lose control of your car, which means you were driving beyond a safe margin given the condition of your car.

In your case though, the only thing I said was that there's a difference between drifting, which is an intentional, controlled slide versus what you did, which was an unintentional uncontrolled spin. You said "if I hadn't corrected my angle of drift" making it seem like you were in control of the situation, which you were not. If this statement pissed you off, I'm sorry you're so short tempered.

One more thing: Making a comparison to what you did versus what pro drivers crashing on the track is like comparing apples to oranges. They are driving on the ragged edge of the cars--you should never be driving anywhere near the limits of the car on the street.

Didn't you say that the 555s were the best tires you've ever had and that you like to slide them around all the time around corners?

Now when it comes to racing someone, the tcs will come on insanely and i would end up losing to a couple of my buddies.. Any idea guys?
