Default 380RS pedal..... Again...

I tried putting this accelerator pedal on today amongst other things. Uhhhhhh...... the hole in the 380 pedal is WAY bigger than the one in the stock pedal. Here's some pictures showing the drastic differences in size. Original pedal is off an 07 350Z HR.

Oh and I tried wrapping with a boat load of duct tape and then squeezing it on there. That sort work worked but it still rolles a bit back and forth on the bar behind the pedal. Also, the clip in the stock pedal does not fit the 380RS pedal.

Well I found the one clip. The other clip.... no clue. Can't even find a reference to a second clip. I'm going toachine down the connections on the back of the RS pedal and then countersink some screws through it into the plastic pedal. That way I can have a 100% solid pedal. I'm not using some ghetto method off putting electrical tape or shrink wrap on the rod to make it work. It will never be solid that way. I'll show you a pic when I'm done. I'll do it at work this week.

Most places give you what you need with the pedal.

I want zero movement down there. This is my solution. 100% solid. On the plus side, my accelerator pedal is now 5mm higher. Win win.

will the extra length on the bolt interfere with pushing down the pedal?

Nope, there is actually a u shaped bracket attached to the accelerator bar that that the pedal secures onto. Thst bracket is what bottoms out with the floorboard for WOT. I could have used screws 3" long and it still wouldn't have mattered.

Looks ghetto but it's your car, not hard to find the right part if you try.

I'm the only one who drives the car. I'd rather have it look slightly ghetto than have any tiny bit of play AT ALL. Function over from, every time

Lol at this thread. I literally posted the part numbers for the clips in your other thread related to the exact same topic. Instead, you decided to drill screws through your pedal. Classic!

I appreciate you actually posting the part numbers for me. I did end up finding that other "clip". It's really a bushing though and that is what confuses me. I did not drill it simply because I could not find it though. If you do a deep dive into putting the 380RS pedal on a base you will find a lot of reports of people still having play with the bushings. I think those that don't report it either get REALLY lucky or just sent sensitive enough to notice it, or they just don't care. Some of the people have actually rid the pedal of the bushing & clip and just drilled it in because they couldn't get it to fit right with zero play. I just jumped a step
