My $100 like OEM fit NAVIGATION setup
06BlueZ,
It looks really nice. I'm planning to get one for my '07 cubby hole. If you don't mind, I would like ask you a question.
How did cut the cubby hole?
Thanks.

I've now been working on this for pretty much all of tonight. At this point, after seeing so many different errors of all types, I'm about ready to give up.
edit:
OK, after hours of working on it and seeing countless errors of all sorts, I finally made it work. I had to mess around with the files for a long time, but I found the right combination apparently.
Also, I think I will offer a DVD with the all the necessary files already in its appropriate folders. Since nobody wants to seed this program anymore (partial or complete) and not many willing helpers are around when installing this mess, I think that's a pretty decent idea. That way, all they need to do is just copy and paste whatever I have in the DVD into their SD card. Plus, this would save a LOT of time that would've been spent on downloading OCN8, downloading other files from iGO and whatnot to complete your program files, having to do research to see what your errors mean, figuring out how to troubleshoot your errors, etc. I can see why people may be reluctant to help as it's a b1tch and a half to troubleshoot.

I've been sending DVD copies of the exact files that you need to run this setup...
This was a huge b1tch to do without help and the pdf file only helps so much. At any rate, it works now. I'm glad to see that you're doing the DVDs. I saw somebody post that in the thread you linked and thought it would've been a great idea, only it was like a year old and the thread had died off.
But yeah, I had to download various things (I don't even know how many things I downloaded for trial and error), which came up with their own error. I still don't know how I was able to figure it out, because I had to make my own files (via copy/paste and rename) and crap for my errors to go away.

Are you sending DVD copies of just the modified files needed to get it up and running or copies of OCN8 also. Either way, how would I go about recieving a copy. Really interested in doing this mod. Thanks for any help you can provide.
I used a high speed cut off wheel, like a dremel tool. It more or less melts its way through it, but after it is cut, you can go back over it with a sanding disc and clean up the edges.
crappy cell phone picture, but you get the idea:
Thanks to everyone for their help on this! It's amazing how perfectly and snug the unit fits into my 03 cubby. If the housing for the Plenio was another 1/8" wider, I think there would be a lot of hacking to do, but as is, it fits quite nicely.
Software:
Typically mine takes only a few seconds to find a signal. At worst it took maybe 2-3 minutes. The frame rate is smooth and not at all choppy, and the interface of the OCN8 is incredibly straightforward and user-friendly.
Power:
Powering my until was incredibly easy. The previous owner had installed a Pioneer DVD head unit with an alpine screen. I simply cut and spliced into the ACC and ground wires going into that Alpine control unit, and wired them to an extra cigarette lighter purchased at Pep Boys

I'm still looking for one with the best price. I saw one on Amazon for $109, but didn't trust the seller since there were no contact's information.
Any updates... I want to see pics of this done in an 05 or newer. I have an 05 and I'm not sure if it will look good with the "swing up" cubby door. I don't really want to change to the 03-04 center console as the texture and colour is apparently slightly different than 05+ ones.
