^ someone post the antenna connection? could possibly use another if the connections are identical maybe? no way of knowing till you try it..

I wish it did not use such a fluky connector to hook up the GPS.. I think I am out of luck making mine work!!!

Cannot seem to find the manufactures site... Looks like the number is no longer in service as well!!! Hmmmm. Any help guys????

Mines came in yesterday...

I need to find a memory card reader so I can update and change the software on it.

Thing looks BRAND new still and untouch. Turns on and works flawlessly.

Their site was up until couple months ago, seems to have gone down. You can still email them i think.

You can't use another antenna. The reason is the connection between the GPS to the unit is a special connector (looks like the S-Video kind).

I dont have their email at the moment, have to search around.

In the pdf file step #6, it talks about the "content" folder. Am I correct in assuming that in each of the 6 folders (building, lang, map, poi, speedcam, and voice) I only need the file with the necessary state and not every single file? I ask because I see that the entire OCN8 folder is 1.4GB as I obtained it and the memory card only has a 1GB capacity.

1. You can delete all the TTS files if you want too. Are these in your "tts_loq" folder? They are Text-to-Speech files but my OCN8 doesn't have this. I was under the impression that OCN8 doesn't have TTS and only iGo8 does but again you can't run iGo8 on the Plenio anyways.

The language file must stay in the content folder sub folder lang. You can delete all other languages you dont understand.

2. Under the content folder you can only run the states you want to bring down the file size. For example I have all the states in the "map" folder but for "POI" I only have the tri-state area. Same goes for buildings, speedcams, and etc. BTW i have a 2GB card which is recommended to run OCN8

All zip files must remain compressed

Company appears to be folded up. No website or contact info around. Anyone want the screen I do not have a power adapter or gps unit for it.. Was a waste for me I guess.

Almost done installing OCN8...hoping it works first try this usb sd memory card reader I have only transfer at 905kb/s...ouch

transferring everything to my SD card was the slowest part of the whole process!

Once you start the software, don't forget to go into the OCN8 settings to enable the GPS...I did NOT, and thought I had a bad receiver.

Thanks for the heads up.. I really did not know transferring would be this slow. It's slower then USB1.1. 30minutes to transfer 1gig is ridiculous.

But I'm pretty excited now after this I need to either find an 03 cubby hole or just install it into my 04 until I find an 03 in the feature.
