Default connecting hose from catch can to PCV

Hey guys, just done installing Greddy oil catch can on my Z...i'm almost done but having problem with the connecting hose. I got the 15mm type (don't know if it matter or not), anyway, the hose that need to connect to PCV valve is much smaller than the hose that need to be connect to the catch can.

I measure that the diameter of factory hose that connect to the PCV to be about 9mm, but the one that go to the catch can need to be atlease 13-15mm.

I know many of us using some type of catch can, so how you guys go about this problem?

Thanks

A pic is worth a thousand words... Passenger or driver's side? HomeDepot sells 'reducer' fittings.

Thanks

You may want to look into some silicone hose. It will allow you to get a small enough diameter to fit the PCV yet stretch enough to fit the catch can.

I was thinking about it, but affraid that it might collapse under the heat and pressure thought. I heard the hose that come with the Greddy kit will collapse under the pressure.

You think the silicone hose will work? Or should i just joint 2 different hose together....like insert the 9mm one into a 15mm hose and tied the inserted part with couple of clamp?

Anyone else with Greddy have this problem? Am I the only one?

Also ---Heat some water in the micro and put the end of the hose in it, this will make it more apt to stretch over a larger fitting. But it will just stretch so much. Silicone will not collapse and is MORE heat resistent than standard hose
3/8 is what I use on the PCV side

The PCV valve itself is a check valve.

so there are no problems with using a catch can with FI applications right? Since PCV valve is a check valve, correct?

There are several threads that show where and how to hook up the catch can and if done correctly you do not need a check valve.

you are not doing much there with that fitting oil is already in the intake by then and your only getting oil from a minute portion of the air flow. You may want to check this out: https://my350z.com/forum/engine-and-drivetrain/310805-oil-catch-can-connection-question.html.

This thread goes over the locations of the ports and why you hook lines up in specific places to prevent pressurizing the system. Take a look at it, it may help you with some of your unanswered questions.
