At any rate, here's the dyno plot of the MRC Car. I was forced to stop here since we are out of injectors.

Great work!! This is looking like its going to be an awesome solution for Z owners.

Interesting about the fuel... supposedly the fuel system included with the APS TT kit is good for over 500whp... but like you have experienced here, my customers car was out of fuel quite a bit below 500whp. interesting...

Nice power curve, very smooth and linear, pulling almost all the way to redline. This is quite different to most of the dynos we've seen using emanage etc.

I think there is something not right with the fueling system on this particular kit. Were you able to log fuel pressure? The stock APS fueling system should be able get you a little over 500whp on a Dynapack without any problems at 11.5:1 AFR. Now if you were tuning at 10:1 than I can see the injectors possibly maxing out. Did you verify that the injectors were running close to 100% and that he was getting the right fuel pressure?

Cheers,

-Tuan

It is a lower compression motor and upgraded fuel system.

Tuan,

At the moment I am questioning FPR or the Fuel Pump. We calculated that we should be able to supply enough fuel at this hp level. We are seeing 100% IDC's about 6000rpm. The car from there will just lean out uncontrollably to 12.6-12.8 afr. I will probably play with the car a bit tomorrow to see what's going on with the Fuel.

As this was on the 7th day of a work week. It was time to throw in the towel.

Thanks,

Jermaine@turboxs.com

P.S. I had intentions on contacting you guys to run a prototype unit. Hit me up when you get a chance.

Doesnt APS reccomend 58 psi of fuel pressure at idle?

Jermaine,

I ran into the same problem with a Z a couple of weeks ago, at 5800 RPM's the car was running lean no matter what I did with the unichip. We checked over everything with the fueling system, except for fuel volume. I did notice some similar behaviour with a car that Phunk brought to the shop as well. Both car's I believe were 03' models with a technosquare reflash. At this point I am suspecting that the reflash was cutting fuel out to early. I'm going to be getting that same car back for guages and then sending it to the dealer to reflash back to the stock programming to see if that will make a difference. I was only able to make 490whp on the dynapack with that car at 10-11psi with the fueling issue. Does that car you are tuning have a reflashed ecu? Just curious. I'll hit you with an email later.

Best regards,

Tuan Nguyen

Update, with the 650cc injectors we made the same 480 WHP with a much safer 11.3 a/f ratio flat across the board at 11.6 psi of boost. The next step is to upgrade the APS stock actuators to some 9-15 springs and retune the car for the higher boost. We feel at 13-14 psi we should see 525 whp on pump gas and stock heads! With some race gas we will see most likely high 500's maybee even a 600.Over the winter we are doing the heads and cams for better flow. We shall keep you updated as we go!

Please PM me wholesale and/or pricing information. i have a customer with a built engine running the APS TT and we are about to change the actuators and toss the Unichip. I would like to explore the possibilities of using the UTEC on this car.

Thanks!

-Charles
