I'd definitely start checking the crank case vents...

I'm just wondering why the turbo was ruled out of the equation as faulty. I caught that it was rebuilt and all, but if it was the cause of why the white smoke started shouldn't you check with a properly working one and not just assume it is good. Did you guys try using one that is guaranteed to be in perfect working condition like from another car/kit? I'm planning on getting the TN kit as well and curious about the outcome of this thread.

So finally after 3 Turbo pull's we found a decent amount of oil leaking out the Turbo into the downpipe. I am going to pull the Turbo on Monday and call Turbonetics to see what this may cost.

also check the line from the drivers side valve cover to the intake tube, if that gets kinked, well.....

the PCV valve on the other side gets blown out and lots of pressure blows into the valve covers, if it has no where to go it will cause serious crank case pressure.

i had this happen on one car and unkinking the line i mentioned above fixed the issue

This is the deal----We pulled the piping and Inner cooler and flushed everything out. Due to being in the middle of nowhere and Fri being a holiday here, we went to home Depot and picked up a oil separator, pulled the inerds and plumbed it into the PCV line with 3/8 line. The PCV was fine and holding pressure, but cleaned it.It was in perfrct working order.
I found a piece of 5/8 preformed line and replaced the drivers side vent with it, it made a perfect U-Turn out of the rear vent hole and rerouted it back to the front.

We shall see.

If it goes well, then, new PCV and Catch Can

Are you thinking of buying a new turbo? My turbo was sent back and inspected/rebuilt 3 times and it never helped. The last time I sent it back it was inspected and given the seal of approval by Turbonetics and sent back to me only to be re-installed and smoking as soon as the car was started and driven.

Buying the same replacment turbo or rebuilding will also not reach your intended power goals. The turbine housing and downpipe are too small. So you and I are in the same boat. Someone needs to make a swap kit for a Garrett GT3582R and a 3" downpipe. I'll be damned to spend any more money with Turbonetics and buy an overpriced GTK550 which no one knows will even fit. Then you still have the problem of the 2.5" retarted downpipe.

I have funded some research to custom fit a GT3582R turbo in there with a 3" downpipe to make 500whp to redline If it works it will be jigged and produced for sale along with my custom wastegate/dump setup people have been PM'ing me about.

Well thats not good. Did you have oil in the intercooler as well? Im not sure if we fixed it since I only drove it once. I will drive it tomorrow and see what happens. I hope to the turbo gods that we dont have to take the turbo out to be checked because thats major downtown.

So far it seems to be boosting and holding boost well and when I got home tonight no sighns of any oil in the blow off valve like before. Cross your fingers!!!!

Are you out of warranty already? If not Turbonetics can rebuild it for you free.

Have you done that compression or leak down test yet?

This has all the symptoms of excessive blowby, which can be caused by a lot of things.

*UPDATE*

So far so good. Im driving it around town and I havent noticed anymore clouds of smoke. But of course its hard to tell unless someone is behind me or outside looking. The catch can is catching a descent amount of oil so thats a good sign. Im going to drive it around for a weak or so then take it back to dyno and see wassup. The rebuild warranty is for 90 days so I got time if we decide to send the turbo back to turbonetics for further inspection.
