JE Import Performance: James smiles and says: at 8psi it put down 388 to the wheels at 6700PRM with 311 TQ at the same RPM!"

These are hub locked dyna packed numbers folks..

mod list for 2005 G35 Coupe RevUp:
RevUp Vortech kit
APS Tall Boy Plenum
HF Cats
Stock midpipe
Stock muffler
UniChip ECU
Stock injectors
Stock temp spark plugs
Pensoil Platinum Full Syn Oil

Air Fuels are consistantly between 11.7 and 12.1 all the way through the RPM range once boost hits at 2500RPMs!

I am happy with the Unichip results...didnt need anything that wasnt on the kit...airfuels are safe...power band is smooth...its (dyno graph) a 45 degree angle with no ups or downs from 2Krpm to redline....

Very impressed with this hand built OEM oil consumption motor that doesnt burn any oil (finally) and the vortech UniChip set up...

Very Happy indeed! This was all on a dynapack...dynojet would be close to 400 or more.

Dude your A/F is too high. You need to be at 11-11.5 max. Ask anyone here and they will tell you the same. Tell your tuner to adjust it right away, or you will blow your motor.

that depends on the timing...also dont forget that I am running the rev-up motor with more effecient heads... @ 8psi...things are good. 11.8 is the optimal fuel range. you are running a non rev with the 3.1 pulley....you should be 11.7 or lower agreed. (but that again depends on the timing) also the air fuels are no lowever than 11.7 and no higher than 12.0

see my thread here:

thanks for looking out though...FYI APS twin turbo Pontiac G8's run 14.0!

can a vortech full kit with no other modifications to it for the revup using the unichip run larger injectors for safety?

OR

will the unichip + stock ECU +FMU + inline fuel pump that come with the stock vortech kit not work with larger injectors and I'll require a UTEC or other management?

I belive there is a limit to what the stock ecu can handle, but if I am not mistaken people run 440 all day on NA cars...so I think youre good, but the UTEC is a must IMO at that point. I dont have the UTEC.

I had him pull the timing back enough not to worry about the 12.0 A/Fs

**EDIT**
google...VORTECH 11psi mustang meth kit...A/Fs are 12.9 even with the meth on top of it.

I plan on installing the Full kit on my 03 Z. I have everything stock except a 5/16" plenum spacer. Do I need to have my car tuned after I install the kit or should it be good to go. I will be installing a boost gauge and wideband A/F sensor/Gauge.

always tune it bro... I had mine checked after placing a y pipe back exhaust..gain 8wheel....it was loud so I took it off. but i was prepared to tune it for the second time if I left it on... plus I like the sleeper look of the stock exhaust.

Can someone help me please.....I am going to supercharge my car but I have a few questions I cant find answers to. #1 being what all do I need for fuel system? I want to run the 2.87 pulley and I know I need a walbro, tuning system like Utec, and injectors. But the shop that is installing my kit says I need Fuel rails and some 300 dollar Fuel pressure regulator?!?!?!?! I may be purchasing a kit used and he says he has everything but the FMU and SS box. What do I need? The shop tells me I need a fuel return and for a fuel return system I need Fuel rails..... im confused...... All I want is a relatively safe 380 to 400 HP on a conservative tune... the only reason I want the 2.87 pulley is because it brings the boost on faster.....

F M U = pressure regulator in muscle car speak. Return system has rails...google AAM fuel return system. Your questions are very good because you are saying EXACTLY whats in your used kit. The FMU (Fuel Management Unit) is a pressure regulator... sounds like the shop knows what they are talking about...but Im can only say that based on your post.

Good luck bro.

PM Sentry he is the man that has pushed this envelope to the next level and some...

Also down load the Vortech installation instructions from their web site...check off what you have and dont have. Dont assume you dont have something....you might already have a FMU....

Wow very nice thread! Thanks to all those who spent time on it...

Additional Questions:

What Kind of power do you guesstimate with the following:
Vortech Tuner Kit
Unichip
440CC injectors
Walbro255 (Should I get the in tank pump or inline for this setup)
What pulley you rec'd...3.13 or the 2

Thanks in advance!

If anyone is wondering about the claim on the front page that the stock full revup kit can make up to almost 400 rwhp on the stock injectors let me say this: that may be true for the nonrevup but myself and 4shizzil have seen that even at the 350-360 rwhp dynojet levels the stock injectors are getting fairly maxed out. We do have a few breather mods but nothing frankly significant. He has TPs and a tallboy but stock exhaust. I have nismo headers/exhaust and a 5/16" spacer with stock cats.

If you plan to get the full revup vortech kit go ahead and invest in some deatschwerks 440cc injectors.

Both our applications only utilized the 8 lb pulley and both ran lean up top with the stock vortech unichip tune.

Do expect that you will need to have it retuned.

Consider all these things into your cost before you go diving into a Vortech Supercharger Full Kit. The FMU on the revup model is different than the nonrevup as well. It runs 10:1 (really really high) on the revup and on the nonrevup runs anywhere between 6:1 to 8:1 depending upon your setup.

The revup FMU has no discs but it is adjustable by tightening or loosening the nut. Refer to your tuner or vortech for more info on that.

Finally something that must go onto this FMU is tuner information: Option 5 turns on the auxiliary fuel pump on the vortech full kit setup in the tuner's software. Another member had trouble getting his tuned and was running lean because he and his tuner assumed that the aux fuel pump automatically turned itself on. This is not the case. The tuner must turn it on with the unichip software.

PM me if you have any questions.

I tried updating the front page, but the new board policy only lets you edit a post within 5 minutes of posting...

Does it go away above 1,000 rpms? Then it's most likely just the normal blower noise, and you will need to raise your idle.
