just laying out possible ways to improve power
and that's exactly why I gave a whp range

20% more displacement should be good for around 50 tq we've already seen that in 3.5 vs 4.2 turbo setups from GTM's dyno
We already know the 34 cog pulley in addition to the 2.87 pulley creates around 20 tq/hp
The T-trim generates 20% more power (1200cfm) than the SC-trim blower is capable of (1000cfm) as long as the belt issues are addressed
E85 increases tq across the board by around 10% give or take

...seems like more power is possible to me
it's just a matter of someone shelling out the money.

I can't believe I read the ENTIRE thing. Nevertheless, I don't think I have EVER read a more concise and detailed write-up to spoon feed those who want to go S/C.

I only had a single item that I am just unclear on. Is the notion of the 650cc injectors an alternative to a return feed line whenever using smaller ones like the 440cc injectors?

thanks,

yeah 650cc injectors with a vortech tuner kit and walbro fuel pump with nothing else done to the fuel system has worked for people for around 400whp on a dynojet. If you go a lot beyond 400whp, I think a return system starts becoming a must.

just make sure you have an engine management that can handle 650cc injectors or you at least get an ECU flash for them

I may have missed this but I heard that you have to get slimmer fans to fit the kit.

If you get the V-core Koyo, you do NOT need slimmer fans.

Cai or Ram? Which would be more beneficial? Only thing I can think of is that the KN Filter will still be taking in the ambient heat off of the radiator.

dunno, but when I put my hand down by in front of the radiator, it sure feels cooler than right by the supercharger inside the engine bay

awesome write up... though i really dont know much about FI.... and i read the full post and understood maybe half of it..... so to be on the safe side using this "ball park" numbers... what would be the safest measure in running it at 350 whp?? can someone please help me and reply what i would have/need to get done to my car?? to be the lowest potential of blowing/breaking my engine?

320-335 whp, stock vortech tune with stock pulley and stock everything else on car (stock exhaust, cats, etc)
340-350 whp tuned
350-370 whp add exhaust, HF cats, plenum, and tuning
370-390 whp add 3.12 pulley and tuning
380-400 whp add headers and/or test pipes, and tuning
390-420 whp add 2.87 pulley and tuning
420-440 whp add cams and tuning
440-475 whp add water/meth injection, more timing, at least half race gas (96 octane or higher) and tuned

350whp, I'd just get the kit, exhaust, and a tune
