How hard is the install for the vortech SC for a complete noob? Also does it make that high pitched whining noise like other superchargers? Thanks

no whine like a stillen. just air bypass noise at low speeds and idle.
how mechanically inclined are you? if you've never worked on cars then it's not going to be easy.

He's from Denmark. All European cars have headlight washers. It's a mandated law.

No I don't think that's normal at all. How tight are the belts?

wow...that sounds awful...like either you bearings/blower is shot and/or your bpv is messed up because that's what the the bpv sounds like when its releasing max boost...

- at what RPM is your idle set to? vortechs can sound really bad at the stock idle which is 650 RPM if I remember correctly. try bumping yours to 800+ and see if it sounds the same.
- ask your installer to double check the vacuum line that goes from the BPV to the FMU (or directly to the plenum if you have a tuner kit). my BPV fluttered like that when one of my cats burned a hole in the vacuum line.

ya, that high pitch whine isn't normal. mine doesn't whine at all. that sounds like a roots supercharger whine.
like someone said above, to me it sounds like bearings with no oil.
