Wanted to post some possible useful information for everyone running stock 2" sts piping.

I upgrade to 2.5" from turbo to intercooler and it made a major difference in spool up, responsiveness, less pressure drop. All changes were to the good, I should have done this 4 years ago. No dyno or logs yet, but I am confident that intake temps also might have gone down.

No, I actually do not have an STS kit. I have a custom one and have been using 2" piping all these years. (which i believe is the same size piping STS comes with standard). The turbo I have is an HX40Pro Holset, .70AR turbine housing bep

Good to know, keep us posted... I'm leaning of redoing my charge pipes since they are pretty much rusted (just the back portion). I was the first one to have the charge pipe modified and re-routed in the middle so all the pipes wasnt jethot coated

Yeah same here, I was using regular exhaust shop piping (steel), was rusting and heavy, plus too small. The only small issue I am having is boost leaks, I used oval piping and I am having a hard time tightening the clamp on the flat parts of the pipe (top n bottom), using worm gear clamps. I might have to wedge something between the clamp and the coupler to push down in the middle.

what does he mean lack of oil? obviously you need to adjust the amount of oil added to your tank to account for filling that long turbo oil feed and return.

I had an ipp engine on a sts kit and my engine failed due to lack of oil this is after replacing the p.o.s Chinese built pump with a example pump. I saw the pump working when it was tested with my own eyes.

My engine went the same day I picked it up.

Kyle did not warranty the engine nor did he refund my core charge from my original engine.

Don't expect your $ back if if engine goes bang.

Good luck with your build, I'm going with the momentum kit now.

how did you get a lack of oil? even if the pump failed, the turbo would overflow with oil but woudnt be enough to drain your motor of oil. And if the seal on the turbo actually went, your car woulda been smoking like a forest fire well before your oil pressure went low enough to kill the engine.

anyone that has to use a oil sump pump is absolutely crazy not to have an oil pressure gauge.
