does anybody think 8:8.1 is too low for a compression?

ok so i got to crank up my car for the first time in 6 months and it sounded so amazing. i will be starting the break in monday ipp recommend 500 to 1000 miles what are your guys opinions

well if IPP built your motor and recommends 500-1000, go by what they say and not what a bunch of internet mechanics say.

Ya go by what they recommend. Also do a lot of engine braking. I changed my oil about 2 or 3 times within the first 1500 miles.

oh guys have a question i tried calling sts turbo but there phones are messed so i need your help well everytime my tuner gets into boost my sts oil pump blows a fuse but on idle and crusing its fine has anybody ran into this problem.

What is the fuse size? Keep in mind that with DC the long wire all the way to the back will add resistance to the circuit, so if your pump is loaded (pumping a lot during WOT) a small fuse will blow.

I use 20A fuses with the Exa pumps.

Sts recommend a 15amp underload it blew so my tuner used a 20amp and that blew too it only blows whenyou going into boost

What is the wire size (ga) going to your pump? If you are blowing a 20A fuses, that means that you are drawing 240W, and that is a lot (1/3hp) for such a small pump.

Maybe increased flow of hot oil is making the gears expand, causing gear tolerance (binding issues) issues? Get yourself an Exa pump and never worry about it again.

Yeah I thought about going with exa pump with my car but they are like 400 on there web page is there another place to get one with a better deal?

Well my tuning got the pump to work it was a bit of a wiring issue but its fixed now

Ok guys I have a precision turbo 6265 that might be any good during spool up I here like a clicking noise during initial spool and when it spools faster it goes a away would I need a new turbo or rebuild it it didn't do this before my motor blew if I would have to get another turbo I have a guy with a gt35, not a gt35r for sale for 400you with no shaft play. Can you guys please help oh has anybody rerouted the intake piping to the center of the car if so can you post pics on how you did it thank you

you can send it to precision to get rebuild for under 400$. i'd send it in and at least have them look at it. dont mess with any non "r" garretts.
