Default RPM right after WOT run

While trying to get my boost controller workin today (unsuccessfully ) I noticed somtehing weird happening after a one gear WOT pull. The RPM's don't dropp right away, it takes about two seconds for it to come down for some reason from 6500 to 1000. It doesn't seem right to me.

The car is an 06, 6spd running 5psi using Haltech Platinum EMS. I can hear the W/G and BOV working. I really listened to the BOV because I know it can cause this but it is def venting every time.

Any ideas?

You dont expect it to drop from near redline to near idle in a split second do you? What flywheel?

Vacuum leak?

N/a does the same thing. Its how the computer controls fuel delivery near idle.

No I don't expect it to come down NOW, but it just seems that it was taking a bit to do so. Flywheel is stock and no there are not vacuum leaks.

Sounds like that is just how it is, maybe I never took note of it before.

Especially with a stock flywheel it will not fall from high rpms quickly.

Can you take a quick vid? Then someone will probably be able to tell you if it's normal or not.

It takes a second for the rpm's to drop. Depending on the power your running, I would change your clutch, flywheel, and pressure plate to handle the power accordingly.

It is all stock right now with 320whp. I do have a CM FX300 clutch and a JWT flywheel sitting around, but don't want to change it untill winter and here, the winter is comming up soon.

Humm it is hard for me to understand what is going on. But if you saying it takes 2 seconds to drops from redline to 1000...it seems right.

Honestly, it doesn't sound like you have anything to worry about.

If it hangs for a longer period of time than a couple of seconds, you might have a tuning related issue with decel fuel cut.

I think that is what it could be. When I do a single gear WOT run my a/f is at 11.2-11.5:1 in boost. When I shift to the next gear (again WOT) the a/f goes to 10:1, and the gear after that...ans so forth.
I have to figure out how to do the decel fuel cut. I wish the Haltech manual was a bit better for DIY guys like myself.

It just sucks being all the way up north here. I wish there was a shop like yours up here, or at least closer so I can get these litle tuning related things sorted out.
