Cass007.... ver 5.0
Damn Chris those were some nasty roads... group deal on rim repair and alignment afterwards?
- Its the worst road I've ever seen in MD. If anybody asks you to go to Pretty Boy Reservoir just tell the no. I bottomed out so hard twice that most of the time I was hitting my brakes was because I kept having to change my line after seeing the Nismo's rear take a hard dip. As soon as we stopped I got out and looked under the car to see if the oil pan still had fins on it. Luckily it seems the underbrace took the hit again. Both corners are now folded over onto themselves.
Chris, just say no to hoosiers for the road. You might be able to get down and back on a set of drag radials, but not on R6/A6's if you drive with any vigor a couple of times up and down the dragon. I have already blown through a set of A6's in about 65 autocross runs (maybe 40 miles). Luckily I have 8 more A's to make it through the year

I'm leaning towards the Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 in a 285/35R19 size as a possible compromise in getting slightly wider without having a roll be a must or pinching the tire too much. The R888 only comes in a 295/30R19 and will most likely require the fender roll. I could also do Yoko Advan AD08 too in the same size as the Toyos
I was just thinking the same thing today Raj. I have the Tein Comfort-Sports. I may have to swap them out this coming winter because under max power they let the rear wallow a bit over bumps and undulations in the pavement. It does seem to let the weight transfer well and the car squats and goes well. I have -1.1 to -1.2 camber in the rear right now and am still seeing a ton of wear on the inside vs outside on the rears though and I'm not sure why.

I have a fender roller but I have no time to help you do that-I used to roll as a side $$$$ when I first got it to pay it off, which I quickly did! Im busy the next 2 weekends and out of town after that. PM me if you want to tackle it yourself. Actually let me check to see that I have it at home, if not its with my Z and its not accessible to me at the moment.

Paul AKA "p's g35" on driver has a roller and is doing side jobs currently.
IF i were you i would go with a more lighter forged rim like Kinesis.. in 18s

and maybe these tires 305/45/18

or
315/30-18..

Heat Cycling
Competition tires are built with a highly sophisticated tread compound. This compound is capable of sustaining traction throughout a much wider temperature range, but is also extremely sensitive to the first heat cycle of its use. During this cycle the tread compound stretches as it heats.

TY, spoke with Frank regarding the oil plate issue and confirmed he has the roller and can help.
jtgli is running 18s with a 315mm drag radial and it is sick, but I won't spend money on new wheels until the car runs for at least a whole season.

Just find a pair of inexpensive 17x10's. Then run 305-315 DR's when you plan to put the power down. I'd keep the others with street tires. I can fit (4) 18" RPF1's with 285 hoosiers in my car, and still have room for impact gun, tool box, fold out chair, two helmets, etc.
I can't see out of the car or put it in reverse, but I can get to and from without a little tire trailer.

Kool, yea Frank took care of me when I put my 305/30/19 on and all seem fine until my fat azz sat in the car and drove out his shop over that 1st speed bump.. I cut the sidewall on my left tire..lol So we brought the car back in and Frank re-rolled my fenders completely that the wheels fit perfect.
