No more vids at the time..

Tim, this car is just an all around fun car, 10s would be great but I'm not really chasing anything. I just enjoy driving out to the track and beating on it and driving back home. I do think I will be getting some dss axles soon though.

ME Too!

You don't really need DDS axles, you need some MT ET Streets. (NOT MT STREET RADIALS) That way you could still drive to the Dragstrip.......

This Tire will save your Axles......... It's has lots of Cushion and stop wheel hop, and you won't get the huge spike in load that breaks axles that you are getting now with your low profile street tires.

See below, you can get them from Jegs or Summit mounted and Balancedout the shipped to your door for less than $800.

This is a far better investment than $2200 axles, as the complete DDS Pro is the only level worth getting. The lower levels still use the factory inner CV Joint.

I have dozens of 1.5 60' and even a 1.34 60' on my stock axles. And from talking to several people they said Napa axles have a good warranty you just break them and they give you a new one. And are only like $60 each.

NO! They will not fit over stock brembos. That's a drag......

In this case you can go to something in a 17" or 18" wheel and tire.

Mickey Thompson has some tires available in 17" and 18" or maybe even a Nitto.

and for a wheel yo could go with a Weld Racing RT-S Series S71

Go to the Jegs site and look around......

Not sure what the offset is on those rims you posted but 16" rear fits over my brembo without modification.

Hay Jeff, you are Alive.....

Ya, the reason I said 17-18, because 16" Street/Drag Tires are hard to find anymore..... perhaps you know someone that still makes them?

I am!

Hey Tim.

Running my own office has been crazy busy for me so the car was on the back burner. This year I'll be out with the car more often. Trying to get my fun life back.

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/mtt-3792/overview/

Those are the ones I use. They make a 28" tall that I might switch to as well. Tons better than the radial tires.

What are the skinny front rims you use? I'll need them to clear a brembo so 18" preferred but I think a 17" will work. I need bias ply up front so I don't get so much shake at high speed.

My Front Skinnies

Weld Prostars 15" x 4" with 1.75" BC and a 1/4" spacer with 1/4" longer Lug nuts. And for tires I used MT ET Front 27.5/4.5-15

this is now on the way to my house...picked them up from hal. Didn't pay near the 2200 retail price.

Im currently trying to sell my intercooler so I can pick up the treadstone one. I seen 143* at the track on one pull. Outside temp was in the 60*s

What did you pay for the Axles?

You'll gain a good bit from the new IC, and you'll be albe to bump up the ignition timing some.....

New intercooler is on the way. Finally pulled the plug. Hope this brings down my intake temps a good bit.

My new tr1245 intercooler came in today. Gone try and get some brackets made today to mount it. Will eventually end up cutting a crash bar and weld it in again.

Will you need to modify your bumper to make that IC fit? I like the crash bar thing you did and are doing again.

I think I'm going to go back to my v2 bumper. Has bigger opening in front and more room. I would need to cut this bumper up again to fit. Will prolly still cut it up and make it fit. I miss the v2 though.

Tim I got your email, thanks for that! I'll try and go after work to get what I need.

you run the splash guard right? That helps divert air to the IC/Radiator and not just go under the car.

So far it has cut my temps down a good bit. At the track I was seeing high 130s and even a few 140*s. On a 60* day. That was the low end of 4th gear because the track was a 1/8 mile. It's 60 here and highest I seen was 105 on a 140mph pull in 5th.

My current bumper set up does block a lot of my intercooler, I'm going to put my v2 back on, it has a much bigger opening and most of my intercooler will be exposed, I expect it to drop even more

Been throwing around be idea of heat wrapping my headers. Don't really feel like pulling engine to do so though. My headers are open and have no heat shields. My intercooler is pretty cold to the touch after some pulls. But my intake pipe is pretty warm since the header is right under it..
