I went off my boost gauge in the car. It always matches what the laptop says when I'm logging, but yeah the haltech topped out at 22.5 when I was logging those.

Belts can stretch and lose grip (particuarly with high hp 350z Vortech kits) over time...have you tightened your belts since your 26psi run?

My belts had to be violin string tight when I got 26psi...

Yes I've gone through about 3-4 more belts since. I'll make adjustments and do test hits and shread them lol. I can play my belt like a banjo.

Perhaps it's time to do a belt setup like mine?

Theirs a picture on here somewhere.

https://my350z.com/forum/forced-indu...-solution.html

This is like mine less the idler pulley under the jackshaft pulley. This way you get about 250* of belt rap around the crank pulley.

Also the small idler pulley above the Large diameter factory idler pulley is not needed.

if anything, the dynojet is a more accuate reading. mustang dynos can be calibrated to read however the operator wants. most are calibrated to simulate a dynojet. the 12-15% correction is BS. 538 is what the car is making on the universal standard for dynos.

you are going way rich between 6 and 6.5k. check your target AF map there. what is your timing and cam timing doin at 4500 rpm? you shouldnt have that bump.

I made right at 570 on Hal's dyno jet when he tuned me. I think I had some bad gas or something when I dynoed at soho. Filled up at a different place and the car was sputtering on the way there.. Tried to run most of it out on the way and refilled.

Also on that soho dyno is when I was trying out that kinetix dyno to see how it flowed. Made me go rich so therefore it flowed less.. That was all with no tuning. I'll be tuning this cosworth when it comes in.

To be honest, I think the kinetic is no bueno. That coffin design doesn't look like it was port matched at all, and I could see it causing turbulence and loosing power. You'll pick that power right back up and then some on the cosworth. Although for the price it's not my pic, as we talked about before lol, I think the cosworth will be a perfect match for your cams.

I'll shoot you a text tomorrow, I'd like to pick your brain about the expreme

Finally installed this today. Car runs and pulls perfect. Feels like it pulls better through the top end, but prolly my imagination. I'll be going back to soho to use their dyno and have Hal tweak the tune a bit via wifi. I'll have to do some work to the bay to get everything to match. Kinda wanna polish it and the blower.

Well my tranny got locked into 2nd gear. Tried everything to break it free. Even got pulled over because I was riding in 2nd gear and my car was loud as hell. I would ride second then hold clutch in and drift. Cop seen me tacking 5k In 2nd gear beside my friends terminator cobra and thought we were racing. He was very cool about everything after I explained what happened.

Pulled tranny today. Came out pretty quick. Took about an hour. Still locked up in 2nd. Got a friend of taywAns that's gonna rebuild it for me. It's a cd009 and I'd like to hold onto it. As for now, I'm getting a loaner tranny till mine is fixed lol.

I'll end up making it all match again under the hood. But I'm more interested in going faster. Putting this tranny in today so I can make it to zdays.

Got a replacement tranny put in, then we had to pull it right back out. The Pivot ball was to long and keeping the clutch engaged. Swapped pivot ***** out and put it back in. Tranny is nice and smooth! Big thanks to taywan!

Thanks, was worried I wouldn't be able to take the z this year to
Zdays.

Also I messed around and through on a 3.12 pulley to see what it would do. Right now I'm hitting 20 psi with 2.87. With the 3.12, I was still seeing 19-20. Put a fresh belt on and the same thing. I have it pretty tight. Maybe I have a boost leak that's leaking out past 20? I usually seen 22-23 psi. And at one time I was seeing 26. Hopefully I can get this back on the dyno soon and retune a little bit to see what this intake does.
