Well just got off the phone with the company. They said it was delivered on Friday at 8:17am. I was off work that day and didn't get a package. My wife did have fed ex come by and pick up a package to be shipped though the same day. It was early morning when I seen the fed ex guy. I would of went down to him but I was still in bed and my dog woke me up.. Guess the fed ex guy scanned it but didn't leave it. He took my wife's package though. They took my phone number and are going to call me back. Damn this sucks!
Josh, I have yet to run the Poly Carbon Belt. I still am using the PowerGrip GT2 and it's still in good shape. I started that thread about the Poly Carbon and was going to do a group buy type thing, but their were only 3-4 people interested at the time.
All that said, the Poly Carbon is the Best Belt out there.

Oh my bad Tim, thought you were running it. Anyways I had to open a case with fed ex. They gave my package and someone else's the Same door tag number. So I'm sure the other guy has my package. I went ahead and ordered another till this gets fixed. Really wanted to race this Thursday but never works out.

Spent a lot of the last few days going through this thread… fantastic, i'm thinking about upgrading my v3 si trim to v2 ti trim.
What is the next step on the car after using poly carbon belt (btw, i use that and can say it's fantastic strong belt)

UPS just delivered my TI kit to the wrong state. They should be picking it up and re-shipping it to me and hopefully I'll have it next week. 3 week delay because UPS is RETARDED.
I hate ups! I have packages go from Sioux Falls, SD to Denver, then back to Rapid all the time. **** is retarded!

Lol yeah I'm still waiting on my other 2 belts. I already got my other belt I ordered 1 week later.
I found out why my cog was shredding. My bolt on the tensioner for the cog was stripped/crossed. I could tighten it and it would be very tight, or so I thought. It wasn't getting tight against the mounting plate, then when ever my engine torqued over a little, the Tim rod brace was sliding it up loosening the tensioner and shredding belts.
I replaced it and it's back to 23psi again. Going to the track Thursday to beat my 7.40 hopefully.

I thought last time we talked you were going si. Either way, congrats. Really hoping to see more guys with this blower and to push it to see what it does!
Edit: ti expreme has NOTHING to do with SI. I don't even know what I was just thinking. I've been staring at Photoshop and talking to myself far too long today

Sorry to thread jack but I figured this would be the best place to ask. I have no experience with vortechs. Never worked on a car with one so I don't know... I got my kit yesterday, inspected everything. The vortech box was thrashed, but there was a ups box on the outside... It was labeled 75lbs but you can easily pick it up with one hand... Some of the things have a slight dent on them, but nothing that actually concerns me.
However, what does concern me is how loud the blower is... It has a sort of dragging noise to it that almost sounds like it's coming from inside the volute... When you stop spinning the cog, there is a very light resonance on the impeller of the compressor. I assume that this is normal? There isn't any play at all on either end, and from what I can see inside the volute (via exducer where the backside of the wheel is pressed on the body, and through the inducer opening) it's clean as a whistle.
Should I open up the front of the housing just to be safe? And is there any way to check the serial # on the unit to verify the model? (I know it's stamped by vortech, I just noticed something on mine that confused me).

Spinning it by hand you can hear something? I don't think mine made any noise when just rotating by hand at all. At idle they can be pretty noisy and most bump up the idle to about 1k to eliminate it. You can take off the outer volute and inspect. Just make a mark to line it back up because you can clock it in different positions. You could prolly call vortech with the serial to verify what trim it is. Look back a few pages and I posted a picture of my impeller with out the housing. That should be exactly the same.

Edit I called vortech the guy said a metal on metal sound is normal and I should hear that... Lol

I won't be able to tell you anything via your #. But after the track tonight, I'll remove my cog belt and spin mine by hand and see how it sounds. You should make a quick vid and post it so we can see exactly what it sounds like.
I think mine will sound a bit different just because it doesn't have oil in it yet... That might be why it's making noise
Yea mine made a little noise when spinning it by hand.Should almost sound like scissors when they slice if that makes sense while you spin it. As long as everything is smooth not binding and tight(no play) I think your fine. And like josh said at idle they are very noisy and violent. Shakes and makes crazy gear noises. Just idle a little higher and you should be good. 👍🏽
