Time to stop pouting!
I am new to the city (5 months) and new to the Z (11 days) but I love to race! I think a good alternative to the Lajunta track day is the Auto X being held next weekend, the 22nd, in Colorado Springs!
I think it would look pretty sharp for a caravan of 350's to roll into Colorado Springs and mess with the S2000's. Plus we could all eat together afterwards. It would be great to meet some fellow owners!
I only have 500 miles on my car, so there is still some breaking in that needs to be done, but that aside, I am there.
Anyone interested???????????????

There's a lot of skill and ability (for both car and driver) to be gained in running Solo 2! Our track days offer more in the way of driving instruction and typically see speeds higher than allowed at a typical Solo 2 event. Are you running B Stock? I ran a few SCCA Solo Trials events last year and managed to win that class on a dedicated road racing track. I know that the Z wouldn't fare as well on a tight autocross against the lighter and more nimble S2000s...
Hello, thanks for posting the invite. With Lajunta being cancelled I would like to check out the AutoX event. Please post the times and location so we can setup a place to meet.
Sounds like a blast

I'm planning to be at the auto-x on the 22nd. You need to pre-register at www.rmsolo.com . You can find time, location, and registration information there.
Unfortunately, my Nismo LM GT4s take me out of B-Stock and into B-Street Prepared, which means that I will be completely outclassed by faster cars with more mods, but it should be fun anyway.

What about the street touring class? I think that is for cars that are only slightly modified over stock.
Well, I called the race director for Colorado, and yes, we will be in BSP because of the Nismo wheels.
But! I checked the results in that class and they are slower than B-STOCK!! Better chance of winning. I'm psyched about the race.
Here are the when and wheres: February 22nd. Gates open at 7:00 AM, check-in is open between 7:45 and 9:00
(please check in as soon as you arrive)
Rookie meeting and walk, 8:30AM
Drivers meeting at about 9:30, first car off at about 10:00
World Arena Colorado Springs
I-25
Take exit 138 (Circle Drive Westbound)
Proceed West approximately 3/4 mi., turn Left onto Venetucci Blvd.
World Arena will be on the Left, after the Tinsletown Theater.
Registration: http://www.rmsolo.org/event_reg_form.html
I figure we can meet somewhere in South Denver and caravan down. Should be a lot of fun!

Unfortunately, it doesn't really pay at all to mod your car and run Solo2, unless you're there just for fun and experience.

Racing should start at 10... I only have 1100 miles on mine. Will be right at 1200 tomorrow. Today was the first time I have spun the tires. I have NO CLUE how it is going to handle in the event!
