Plus you have a manual...so what gives Stephen ? I think all this down time from the Z has gotten you green again. Maybe an AutoX event will help you out.

Damn dude...you are leaving quite the Carbon foot print !

I would never buy a new car for a DD'er if I had to drive that much.....it would be like a 6-8 yr. old Honda that you could drive well over 200k with out many issues.

Yeah Emad....I agree with you....it's hard to find a really good beater to just drive back & forth to work. I was pretty careful when I got mine, and never spent over $ 3500 for them.

I had an '96 accord with 140k in 2001 for a couple of years ....then I sold it and bought a '98 Civic with 138k from a lady that replaced like everything and finally was done with it and wanted to get rid of it. These are the types I looked for so they wouldn't require anything but pads & gas !

I kept he Civic for like 3 years before I sold it to a co-worker in need of a good cheap car...so she got a great deal on it....$2800 when I could of sold it for about $3300....but what the heck.

Then I found myself looking for another beater...but instead bought the Z ! Best thing I have done. I love to drive it and get withdrawls from it when it sits for more than 4 days.

yeah i think i've worked out a good mix. my mazda gives me all the technology i need, with fun driveablity and handling, all the space the hatch gives, and i personally love the way the hatch looks. it also gets like 30mpg ave hwy, and has enough umphh to get me past cars on the highway.

on the other hand, i have my clunky and creaky 350whp g35, which gets bad mileage, but holy sh! t it's fun to drive. and 2 days a week (average), it is a treat to myself.

This statement is oozing with FAIL. Did you install a turbo or a "turbonator"?

Let me rephrase... Hard to break lose when properly driving around Eagles Canyon.

The grip with my current suspension set up and camber adjustment is amazing. Gearing up for The North American Festival of SPeed in November

Hello everyone,

I just moved back to Plano from Houston after 7 years, so looking forward to meeting everyone here at a meet or something. In the mean time, I would like to ask a question regarding the alarm system. As far as I know, I want to get the Viper 5901.

Does anybody know where I should go to get the alarm installed or any shop that willing to do remote start with manual transmission?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome back to the DFW area and to this thread.

There are a lot of peeps here that have some good shops for referral.....I personally don't have any experience with custom alarm & radio shops....but I know there will be some people that will chime in and give their info up.

Also check the TX meets &events section for things going on. Hope to meet you soon at a meet or AutoX event.
