[DFW]: DFW's Lounge
I really would not reccomend the v3s at all. They're overpriced and not very good. I would get asts over them in a heart beat. (or even bc) Find a shop that revalves and resprings coilovers and you're good to go.
If you're truly wanting to adjust, you have to take into consideration the car's height, the suspension geometry, type of tire, the handling of the car, car's weight, type of pads, type of track, weather conditions, etc. It gets ridiculously complicated real quick. So in the end, adjusting only hurts the user in most cases.
Ast and bc are on each end of the spectrum. What was your negative experience with kw's
Both are still better than kws. Their spring rates as usually jacked, the few redone sets I've used(robispec) were pretty good. I'll rephrase it, factory v3s suck, redone ones are just fine. Ive seen a few sets break, but the company stood behind their product so no biggie.
lets plan on 10am..I have an alignment scheduled at COBB at 1 so you and I should be fine in regards to our obligations. Unfortunately I wont be going since I have other things I have to take care of for the event..
Hi DFW group..... Adam is the .proud new owner of my car...... I hope to POP in occasionally, both here and at events. Everyone was very welcoming to me. Adam enjoy, I will be fine...she is in great hands, and have fun.... Jody
Seriously though - all smiles on the way home today. A million thanks to you Jody for giving me an unbeatable deal on a practically new Z.
I know it has been bittersweet having to part with such a great car. I hope and pray your health improves and one day maybe another Z will be in your future.
Like I said, you are welcome to as many ridealongs at the track as you want.
Now I must go and enjoy some country roads for a bit

Its almost spooky!
So I just caught up on the last few days of posts...
Patrick...
Let me tell you something about the oilfield. The money can be good and sometimes great, but it can also be bad. The money draws you in, but the lifestyle sucks (not all, but most oilfield jobs).
It seems as though the guy is really hooking you up with good info and a decent job. Just understand that when you talk about getting married and starting a family you both better be ready to be nomads. To make a career out in the oilfield you have to move to where the money is. Different areas boom at different times. Several guys that were in great positions here locally just gave up those positions to move to North Dakota to work. That's where the long-term oilfield jobs are now.
My point is just to say that you should really evaluate it hard and look at every aspect.
Yes, you will make money. But what I've found over the last few years of being in the oilfield is that it's not always worth it. How many events have you guys seen me at? I've only put 12k miles on the Z in almost 3.5 yrs of owning it. The oilfield can provide a nice lifestyle, but it can also become your lifestyle.
end novel - sorry
