Recall on slave cylinder

The bad news is that during these 2 days in the shop I strolled over to test drive a used 2007.5 corvette and I havnt stopped thinking about it.Think Im gonna take the plunge in spring 09 and get a new vette instead of the next Z.
Well it's been a while since I received my recall notice... I'll be rolling over 50,000 miles soon and it wears on my mind a little that I should just get it done. Called up the dealership to make sure they had parts. I let the guy know that I've heard that people have had problems with waiting extended periods of time because parts just weren't in. He said he has a slave cylinder for me but he needs to get a tube insulator and bolt kit, and he went on to say he was happy I brought it up and that he was going to order more parts to have readily available for others.
This will be the first time my Z is going to the dealer for work, I'm just nervous cause I've been burned too many times before by dealers.

Took about two months for my parts to come in and finally dropped my car off this morning. How long does the replacement usually take? I can't see it taking any longer than 2-3 hours. They haven't even called me with an update yet.
Sheehy Nissan of Waldorf, MD =

Edit: Got the car back today. 10 more miles on it. I guess they needed to test drive it for awhile. BASTARDS!

Took two days to get the transmission dropped, replace the slave cylinder, and then put everything back together.
Nissan provided a rental car for both days at no charge to me though Enterprise. On request they balanced the tires and hand washed it, again at their cost.
So this is rare.... a 100% positive review on Nissan's behalf?
Dealer was Bill Ray Nissan in Longwood, FL (Service Manager - Mike)
New slave cylinder review - The only difference I can feel is at full throttle between 2-3 & 3-4 the engage is much smoother, rather than the THUD that I couldn't get around. Other than that I don't feel much of a difference...

Just had mine done yesterday! Dropped off at 10am and picked up by 3pm from Daland Nissan in Millbrae, CA.
No rental car or loaner though...I called them on Wednesday, and they had me go in the very next day!
Clutch feels a bit stiffer and much more uniform for the entire length of travel. Awesome! Easier to start in 1st too!
16,200 miles currently with no problems at all

Got my car back, and I am happy to say that 1) the clutch feels nice, firm and smooth. 2) the dealership didn't put any dings in my car (at least that I can tell with a quick glance).
Looking forward to seeing how she drives in the next few months.
PHEW, I can breathe now!

Dropped off car on Friday, picked it back up today. Rental was paid for as expected
Clutch peddle a little stiffer and shifting is a little smoother. The car looked like it was taken care of, so I'm happy.
The service guy that I spoke with said I should have bought another clutch and had it put on at the same time. I was really surprised to hear him suggest that. However we came to a point in the conversation where we both agreed the car is still relatively new, and if it aint broke then don't fix it.

I went to the dealership on saturday to check on that recall thingy since my clutch was acting up a little bit.(clutch realeases but it stayed halfway in rather than going all the way back). They had 2 of the 3 parts that needed to be replaced so they told me to come back wednesday and should not take more than 6 hours to fix. So I will keep you posted how and hopefully they do a good job on the clutch and same time not get any dings. The way I test clutches is pedal to the metal and hopefully it will not brake.
just got mine back from the dealership yesterday dropped it off in the morning picked it up about 5 hours later they did a full inspection on the car topped all the fluids. detailed the thing and washed it no complaints ;-)
