Very much. They seem better than take-off R6s, similar to brand new RS3 but a touch faster, and better than R888.

Sort of surprised to see the track record for Spec Z at Summit is only a 1:24.0....T3 record is mid 1:22's by Rob Hines.

Has Rob driven SpecZ at Summit also? T3 allows better suspension and spring rates that make more sense. T3 also allows Hoosiers, which I think are faster as stickers than BFG R1, although they are only 245 on 8.5s vs 275s on 10s. I suspect SpecZ will be faster there than T3 with some more lap time, and likely faster than T2 also. I've fought to get SpecZ weights back down and allow the HP to creep back up to attract more people, but my soft-skills failed and I got my hand slapped for being honest on an this forum.

For reference, SpecZs ran 1:39s at the NASA Nats at Laguna a few weeks ago, which killed both T2 and T3 lap records there. Thunderhill 3 mile with cyclone lap record for T3 is 2:03.233, which I eclipsed in SpecZ also.

Track: Thunderhill West
Date: Oct 12, 2014
Best Lap time: 1:28.0
Car: 2007 350Z BASE, 3500lbs, base model brakes
Tires: Hankook C51 275/35/18 (18 heat cycles on them, corded on my 3rd session of the day)
Brakes: base model 2 piston, Raybestos ST45 pads
Other Modifications: swift spec R, STOCK shocks OS Giken LSD, exhaust, misc bushings and alignment tools.
Weather: 80*F?

other notes: drivers side rear SPC camber arms bushing was blown out. You can see the steering wheel is crooked a bit to the right, so wheel kept changing alignment setting making the car extremely unpredictable. Did not realize the issue until I got home and inspected the car. First time on the west side by itself, second time on the surface at all.

You're running 45's in back with 43's up front? 3140 with driver?

I believe that's the order; I always forget, but the braking is good.

NOooooooooooooooooo, 3140 no driver. No weight reduction minus lighter wheels, two race seats, spare tire removed, but that's it. With a tune (likely add 20whp) and real tires (R1/R1S), it'd run 1:40 I think; add weight reduction, and high 1:30s I figure, maybe faster.

Wheel bearing started to shimmy (can hear it at the end of the video), so only got one session with the new tire set-up, or "likely" would have run low 1:42 or high 1:41 after a few more laps.
