Default Couple questions from a potential new owner

Hello all!

My name is Travis, and within the next two weeks I will be (hopefully) buying a 350Z, but it comes to a problem quite quickly.

I have two options, a Manual Convertible or an Automatic Hardtop. Easy choice right? Not for me...
Before I decide which I will pour money into and burn my wallet to ashes, I have two questions, but first a small bit of insight.

My Lancer Evo I've had for half a year got totaled because of a drunk driver, so I'm moving to a nicer vehicle. The 350Z has always been a dream and it has been decided as what I'm getting. As I look at what I want to buy and customize, I thought of a new engine. Then I found this one. I am looking at a heavily modified crate engine ($3000) that gives off about 650hp. Insane step up for me!

My first question, can the stock transmission handle this much horsepower? Of course it'll need a few new parts to handle it, I'm asking if I need a new transmission in general or not.
Then the second question, can the automatic transmission handle that?
I need to know if I need to buy a special transmission for it or not, such as a specific racing transmission. I didn't go above 350hp with the Evo so adding on another 300hp + other upgrades brings a monster to the roads.

I'm looking to drive this daily and quickly, as well as show off the car on Fridays at a local spot. All engine, no turbo. Tired of those things 😂

Had no clue where to post this so General is where I ended up...
Thanks!

The engine you are looking at can handle up to 650 not comes at 650(not w/o FI) . Autos that are built can only hold up to about 550whp once builtl, after that you run into problems with them. Also if you are on the powatrain, wait for a manual coupe. Fully built NA 300-320whp is about the best you will get(with a de, you did not say the yrs). I think thats everything ..

This is true. And you will be spending lots and lots of money to even get close to 300whp na.

Quick question, how does one push the DE to 300whp? I've already done all bolt ons, still not near the 300 mark. No idea what to do next

Well you wont get there with just the simple bolt ons and it depends on a lot of things. Here are some links if you have not read them already about NA builds and trying to get some more horsies Including Spacer under a V+,bigger TB/maf,bigger/custom plenum neck.
