<---Dr.G

BTW I do believe the Stillen (stage3 and up) is capable of running great times, but because there arent many kits out though we havent seen it. No doubt with 330+whp it could bea solid mid 12 sec car on street tires. Hopefully, we'll have a G here in MD going 12's soon....

Thanks for giving the Stillen a little credit. I agree There are not that many people running the kit so it remains to be seen. I have yet to go stage 4. When I did have the car dynoed stage 3 I was at 305hp and 303 torque. So i could imagine with stage 4 the numbers may be around 330 or so. Which with the right driver could post some pretty good times. So I will try to be the ginuea pig. I am going to upgrade to stage 4 when I take a little time away from my z32 and I will post up some dyno numbers and some 1/4 mile times. Now to answer the orignal question, one thing you might want to check is that your water pump for your heat exchanger is working. A few weeks ago I was driving my car and noticed that it wasnt making full power. It turned out that the inline fuse to the water pump had blown. I checked the wiring and noticed that the power wire had fryed a little from the bumper support. I would check that right away!

Just take the lid off the intercooler canister [while it is cool] and see if the water pump is doing it's thing. It should be easy to see the water circulating in their.

the blower and Sc belts are easily mounted no confusion in that, but the main crank belt could take two different paths and will perfectly fit both ways. , this is where you need to check. then after tightening your belts (all your belts) , twisting it is to check the tension , any belt you mount must be tight enough so that you can't really twist rotate it by more than 60 degrees approx

Turn on the ignition but no need to start the car, open the canister and see if the water is circualting. If it is not then it can be the fuse or the pump. The fuse is on the power wire of the pump that leads to a relay that controls the power to the ecu and the pump. Also it's possible that your water pump failed. Stillen dropped the ball and used a cheap pump. My first pump died after about two months. Sometimes debris or what not can clog it then the motor can burn out. If the pump is not working and the fuse is good, make sure the ground to the pump is solid then just touch the power wire to the battery terminal if the pump works then its either the relay or the pump. I replaced my pump with a Bosch heavy duty water pump so that i wont have any more issues. I also removed the relay and wired the ecu to a switched 12volts. I hooked the water pump up to a switch under the dash with a light that so that if the pump isnt getting 12v the light turns off. Makes it a little safer incase you are tracking the car and your pump fails this way you have an indicator light to inform you.

Pretty funny to read all of this sometimes!

IMO, Stillen is a great OUT OF THE BOX solution. It is easy to install and makes a modest 50-70 WHP increase over stock. NOTHING MORE. We have tried everything and NO MATTER what pulley, fuel, timing, methanol, what ever, we still could never make more than 330 WHP on Dynojets and Dynopaks. Unless they increase the blower size itself, NO MORE POWER. Forget what they say on their website.

Now, Is that Lame? Hell No. That is pretty awesome and on most road racetracks with a good driver, even 0-60 runs, the Stillen for the most part can beat almost all competitors.

I know, I have owned 3 Stillen blowers. Customers literally trade them in for JWT kits WHEN and ONLY WHEN they want to make more power or when they have blown their modified Stillen's motor up.

Now the thing Stillen does have is CARB. WHY is this important to their business? Because with CARB all of the DEALERS (conservative and by the book) are willing to install them on your new and used cars.

So, Stillen has its place and if anyone of you want to see very very fast NA Zs with bolt-ons, just go to a road racetrack and you with see NA Z with close to 300 WHP.

We just removed all NA boltons from a car from Arizona to install a JWT kit that made close to 290 WHP. NOw this guy, Steve, was an awesome driver and with his car set-up, he runs better laptiems than most of my FI customers on most tracks.

So just remember there will and always will be FI debates, my car is faster than yours, and LET'S RACE, just try it out at the track on a real road race course and YOU WILL KNOW QUICKLY when that ****ty little stripped down Honda Civic with 200 WHP passes you that POWER ISN'T EVERYTHING when compared to a perfect power to weight ratio.

Now realizing that a power to weight ratio is important, that is why we have been working on a perfect 500 WHP/550 torque package for Zs and Gs. Yes my daily driver is 800 WHP, yet I still street it and track it at 500 WHP.

Goodluck.

I had 349WHP on a dynapak which is roughly 325-335 on a dynojet with my Stillen Stage 3. This is with all my mods listed below besides the cams. Even with the 3.9 FD I could BARELY chirp third when pounding the **** out of it. Therefore. BS.

What are you gonna do prove him wrong? How with a video? You cant even post a breakdown to your 12.8 slip, let alone prove that you spin 3rd gear. For the last time .....

thanx rookie. was that for a g35 dyno or a Z?
343 whp with 92 octane, the torque curve is really nice. i use 98 octane and it is explosive from low rpm, even cars with much higher hp have a hard time keeping up from low rpm.
