I think I'm about a month or two out from purchasing Osiris. I just replaced my hi-flow cats on my car to find out it was my hf cats and o2 sensors that were causing my car not to pass smog. I'm not very knowledgable about tuning or ECU's, so here it goes.

Should I replace my o2 sensor before I get a tune? Would a bad o2 sensor have any negative effects on the vehicle?

The dealer also said that my car was running very rich, so they adjusting the timing a bit. Would getting an e-tune from Uprev solve this or should I have my car dyno tuned locally?

Thanks in Advance.

You're in Diamond Bar, so a quick trip over to Church Auto Testing in Wilmington, or GTMotorsport in Rancho Cucamonga and they can do a full dyno tune for you with Osiris. That way you can make sure your car is running properly.

Yah, I had a quick chat with Sean @ Church's a while back, I have to follow up when I have the cash. I'm looking at getting the cable and a dyno tune however both together seems like it's going to cost quite a bit.

Do you know the answer to this?

If it's one of the front O2 sensors, then yes it will effect your trims and change the AFR in closed loop. If it's one of the rear O2 sensors, that's no big deal. They really just check for cat efficiency. We even disable them from time to time for test pipes.

How much are people paying for dyno tunes with the Osiris Standard package?

Depends on the Tuner really. Each shop has their own rate. We charge hourly, some charge a flat rate for NA, etc.

You don't need Osiris Standard for a dyno tune though, just Osiris Flash, unless you need to leave with the Cipher cable.

Is there a pic of the new MAF posted somewhere? Will the new MAF sensor fit in the same bung as in the old MAF housing? I ask because I'm reworking some of the piping and I need to move the MAF sensor and I want to be able to upgrade the MAF in the future, possibly... If the receptacle for the new MAF is the same, then there is no issue.

FWIW, I have data logged Cipher wideband readings in conjunction with my TXS tuner reg wideband and they are pretty close at steady state (all the way to 11.5), though the stock widebands don't seem to change as fast.

Will we be able to get multiple maps with Osiris Flash (ex: performance, valet, economy), or just one performance tune?

I am most likely done with engine upgrades so only need one good performance tune, but would also like to take advantage of your valet and economy specs.

You can have up to 5 maps different ones with the newer ECUs, 3 on the older ones.

Jared was nice enough to fly in to S&R Performance's Technology Day in Tampa, Florida today. S&R Performance is an Osiris Pro Tuner and they held a Technology Day to help get all the Florida locals up to speed.

Thanks S&R and Jared!

I don't understand what this 2 step launch control is? I never was offered that when I got my UPREV. Any more details?

The basics is that you have a map with a low rev limit, like the valet map. You switch to that map, then press the CC combo for your regular map and hold the button. Rev the engine up and it hits the rev limiter on the first map... let out the clutch... release the button... the second map takes over... and you're off.

It isn't necessarily a feature. Think of it as sort of a side benefit. It's been mentioned in some of the Osiris threads. It's not a secret.
