is that lowered ? ...if u lowered ...do u have camber kit ?
My car has been on springs with no camber kit for 2 years. No issues, I bought some BC BR' coilovers that i'll install, I went with a camber kit as well. You should do it right if your going to do it.
Does adding a 25mm or 20mm spacer after having had a proper alignment introduce enough additional negative camber (since the wheels are moving out further and slightly changing the angle) to require a new alignment?
I'm changing tires and getting an alignment tomorrow. My current spacers will be too big for the new tires and the stock alignment specs, so I won't be measuring to buy and add new spacers until after I have an alignment done.
Also-
If adding a spacer is going to introduce enough additional negative camber to warrant another alignment, is it reasonable have the mechanic doing the alignment "factor in" the negative camber that will be introduced, or will I have to get another alignment after I add the spacers?
My goals are even tire wear and a nice, flush look.
Thanks. I just wasn't sure if pushing the wheels out further would allow the weight of the car to settle slightly lower in the middle, introducing some level of additional negative camber.
Glad to know that I don't have to worry about it.
A 5 to 10mm difference is not going to hurt much. So if your only doing a 5 to 10mm change is spacing, no new alignment will really be needed.
It's a wheel spacer..... a 48" wheel spacer wouldn't need an alignment.... That's right, a forty eight inch wheel spacer (four foot wheel spacer) wouldn't need an alignment....
I guess, to sum it up: Wheel spacer DOES NOT affect your alignment, no matter what size it is.

Thats what i thought too, but in reality and the suspension not being in perfect tolerances etc etc it will make a difference. I preached the same thing, but an alignment rack will show different.

Well then, I guess we all need to get alignments after we change our wheels to wheels that have different widths or offsets since a wheel with more negative offset affects the suspension in the same way that a spacer would........................................
[Everybody else please ignore this post as it has no real world relevance. You do not need an alignment after changing your wheels]

Technically yes, but all my wheels are set up within 5mm of each other. Theory is one thing ( i agree in the theory) but reality shows something different.
