FAQ: Official wheel "SPACER" thread!
Anybody having issues with Project Kics 15mm spacers sticking? I put them on the rear this weekend but didn't use anti-seize because I wasn't yet aware of spacers sticking.
Current rear setup is 19x9.5 +10 after spacer w/ 285/35/19. Camber is at -3. I had to roll the rear fenders completely w/ a slight pull and do a little bit of grinding on the rear bumper lip and fender lip where it meets the bumper.
The car is fairly low, I have about a 3mm gap between the rear tire and fender lip right now. I'm thinking with another degree of camber and some more fender pulling I can get a 20mm in there instead.
Also, I had to cut the studs to clear my wheels w/ the 15mm spacers. Does anybody know if I can use the Project Kics 20mm spacers without replacing the studs, or is the area where the lug nut seats farther away from the hub surface?
I'll post pics when I get home from work tonight.

I have a question. I have these spacers:

When I took off my driver side front wheel one of the lugs was stripped and I broke off one of the 5 studs on the hub. I put the spacer on with only 4 lugs since the 5th stud is broken. All 4 are correctly torqued in at 80ft/lbs and the wheel is attached to the spacer with all 5 lugs. Is this safe to drive on for a week or two until I get a new stud put in?

Where is a good place to get +10mm extended studs?
I think I'm going to get the wheel centric spacer from motorsport tech but they don't include longer studs...thanks

I am still confusing about the OEM studs thing.
I have the Work CR and was told by my rear wheel (18x9.5 one) have very shallow pocket (told by Work).
You said OEM studs is 25mm long, and installing kics built in spacer (which I already bought) to rear require the wheels has approx 15mm pocket back.
So do I need to cut the OEM studs? or install the NAPA studs?
Isn't the NAPA is longer?

as in, if you have a 15mm spacer, then
stock stud length - spacer thickness = remaining oem stud protrusion that needs to fit in the "pocket" of your werks...
25 - 15 = 10mm of protrusion
get it??
how deep is this so called "shallow pocket" how about measuring it like shown in the first page?

I bought the 10mm Kics spacer for the rear
The front should no problem as I use 20mm and told it has deep pocket.
I know I need 15mm of protrusion.
But what if my CR KAI shallow pocket do not have 15mm protrusion?
Is cutting the OEM studs length the only option?

1. Yes, cut the oem lug nuts two threads past the attaching spacer nut.
(see my post on the first page or so that talks about cutting them)
2. source shorter length studs and replace all your studs, so long as those shorter studs have at least 2 threads past the attaching spacer lug nut.
of course there are , drill a hole in your wheels, etc, but dont do that...

Guys
No one have used the optionselects from ebay ?
What about Ichiba ? Are they good ?
When buying a wheel spacer what i should concern t6061 and hubcentric ?
No studs specification ?
Thanks

I just bought some 5mm for my rear. After reading *Ice*'s issues with loosening nuts, im kinda worried if this is a common thing or was it because of lugs not being torqued enough. Ive heard of a few people run these with no problems, but one problem is just the same.
Jason, I am running wider tires on my stock 08 nismo. Tires are 265/40/18 front and 285/35 rear ( Up from 245/265 respectively.)I am on stock Nismo suspension and don't plan on lowering it. What should I run, do you think, to make the wheels relatively flush? I was thinking 20 mm all around? Would I need to roll the fenders with that wide of a tire? Thanks Jason!
