Aren't there risks with rolling the fenders though? The few places I asked said they didn't roll fenders because it compromises the paint job.

if you heat them up right there shouldnt be any cracks. just have to be patient.

i want my car to look like this 350 in this picture..

what size wheel spacers do i need to get, how low do i need to go, do i need to camber my car? if so do i need a camber kit?
That car doesnt loom TO low. Since your on coils, just lower your car to the desired height you want then measure the distance from to tire to the quarter panel/fender and thats your size space youll want to be flush... Hope i helped..

Driver side rear wobble more than passenger size.

Took the car to a safe place and re-check/torque down the lug nuts on the rear. 4 lug nuts on driver rear are LOOSE!!!! not loose all the way but loose enough where I have to turn almost 1/2 clockwise on my torque wrench to torque it down. Passenger size had 3 loose nuts.

1 day later, 2 lugs are loose but not too loose. Only lost about 1/8 of a turn.

My original torque specs right after I installed those 5mm spacers are 87 ft/lb. Afterward, I torque it down to 90 ft/lb.

Anyone experience similar problems? I might consider go to Pepboys and get some extended stud and swap it out the OEM one tomorrow.

studs aren't stripped? lug nuts not cracked? probably an isolated incident or have it continued to happen...

try marking your studs and ensuring they arent spinning on the knurl after some mileage...

The thought of the nuts coming off and my wheels fall off while driving on highway is haunting me daily lol

Alright guys, so my 5mm Ichiba spacers finally broke my OEM studs. Broke 1 stud on left rear wheel and 2 studs on left right wheel. Glad it didn't happen when i drove 300 miles from Cali to Las Vegas. It happened last night, I noticed it a few clicking noise in the rear when turning slow in parking lot. Trying to tighten the lugs today and notice it broke off after a few turn.

Pics:

Anyone got extended studs that want to next day shipping to me??

damn! That' sucks. Must have been weakened from driving around loose.

I've got 5mm on the rear without extended studs and am going to check them next chance I get.

I torqued them down when I first installed, then again after first day of driving around. Checked them once more a week later and they were still fine. Haven't checked them in months.

What lugs are those? Aluminum? Assuming you know to torque in star pattern right?

yea those lugs were aluminum and i did torque it down using the star pattern as recommend by many peoples.

but yes, 5mm spacers is the max you can go before you must change out to longer studs.......many have run 5mm fine and most sites with Z specific spacers will mention this as well on their 5mm spacers.

I have to advise against this since my 5mm Ichiba spacer recently broke my OEM wheel studs. Lug nuts were torqued to 85 ft/lb..

Extended studs or spacers with studs are the way to go. Dont cheap out. Luckily i wasnt driving when i discovered the failed studs or else it would be a bigger mess.

See my post a few post above for pictures!!

Read the thread from the beginning......we discussed this already.

with 10mm you either have to

1. buy longer studs with slip on style spacers

OR

2. get spacers with studs attached, but your varrtoen wheels must have at least a 15mm gap to accommodate the oem stud protrusion past the 10mm thickness of the spacers.

That and get machined spacers with the 66.1 hub diameter..dont get crappy cast ones...

read from beginning...

Finally got a day to install my spacers! 20MM all around, Ichiba V2 with hub rings and mounted studs. I don't think I feel any difference at all, it might feel slightly more agile and stiff when hitting bumps, but its barely noticeable at all. I haven't taken it up to high speeds yet, just about 60mph with no shudders/shakes. So far so good, hopefully they hold up. I torqued the spacers down to 85lbs, and my lugs with the normal force.

Yup, pretty much exactly the change I got with 25mm spacers, same brand.

It's just another one of those design aspects where you wanna ask, "Why wasn't it like that to begin with?"

Default Experience with wheel hubs

I decided to get some wheel spacers from ichika and I have a couple of questions that I have seen anyone mentioned in this thread:

1) How is the drivability with the spacers?
2) Are the spacer durable/last long enough not to replace them everytime?
3) Will the spacer prevent the wheels from falling off our Zs?
4) Will I need and additional mods done such as control arms (im sticking with stock rims)?

1. Fine if installed properly
2. Will last a long time if they're installed properly
3. Wheels will not fall off your car if spacers are installed properly
4. Will not need control arms if at stock ride height

Two more things:
1. I never heard of "Ichika"
2. You started "this" thread

There is a thread dedicated to answering all these questions and more

Duckee, when you go over a moderate bump or tight corner, what kind of rubbing do you get, if any?
